Former Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), H.E. Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, was recently honoured by the United Nations in Nigeria.
She was presented with the SDGs Champion award in recognition of her unwavering commitment and visionary leadership in advancing the agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development in Nigeria.
The award ceremony took place on June 20, 2023, at the UN House in Abuja.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, praised the United Nations in Nigeria for acknowledging and rewarding Princess Adefulire’s exceptional performance and dedication.
Matthias Schmale, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, emphasized that Princess Adefulire was truly deserving of the SDGs award from the United Nations in Nigeria, highlighting her remarkable contributions.
Expressing her gratitude and honor, Princess Adefulire humbly accepted the prestigious United Nations SDGs Champion Award.
She acknowledged her formidable team at @OSSAP-SDGs and the countless unsung heroes in Nigeria, accepting the award on their behalf.
Representing the First Lady at the event was Dr. Betta Edu, the National Women Leader for the All-Progressives Congress (APC).
