The United States Government has deported no fewer than six Nigerians after they were charged with various crimes in the country.

The deportees arrived in Nigeria via a Delta Airlines flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in the Ikeja area of Lagos State at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

The deportees were received by officials of different Nigerian government agencies who are expected to decide the next line of action.

It was further gathered that the Nigerians’ deportation was in connection with a decision by the U.S. government to deport at least 3,000 Nigerians, who had been involved in various crimes in the country.
