The Office of the President of the Senate has issued a strong rebuttal against a malicious and fabricated post published by “Rant HQ,” attributing a false statement to Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio.

The post claimed Akpabio said, “The killing is taking place in Nigeria, not in the USA. Trump should focus on the US. Nigerians are not complaining about the killings; we are fully satisfied with the condition of Nigeria.”

The Senate President’s office has denied the statement in the strongest terms, calling it a product of mischief and a desperate attempt to incite misunderstanding between Akpabio and US President Donald Trump, as well as between Nigeria and its international partners.

The office has challenged Rant HQ to produce evidence to support their claims.

The office of the Senate Prezudent in a statement signed by his media adviser, Hon Eseme Eyiboh, said that Senator Akpabio was a respected statesman and advocate of international friendship, diplomacy, and mutual respect among nations.

It stated that the Senate President held President Trump in high regard and would never comment on internal matters of the United States or issue statements that fell within the exclusive domain of Nigeria’s Executive arm of government or foreign policy establishment.

The Senate President’s office has condemned the malicious post as a clear act of digital recklessness and a deliberate attempt to sow confusion, tarnish reputations, and inflame unnecessary diplomatic sentiments.

The Office of the President of the Senate said it remained committed to transparency, truth, and responsible communication, both in Nigeria and on the international stage.
