Zamfara State in North West Nigeria is notorious for bandit attacks.

Nigerian troops have arrested eight wounded bandits at a health facility in Zamfara State.

The bandits, PRNigeria gathered, were among those who fled air strikes by a Nigerian military jet in the State on Friday.

It was learnt that an aircraft of the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji carried out air interdiction missions at bandits’ camps in the North West State, on Friday.

According to a reliable security source, scores of bandits in the camps of Alhaji Zaki, Alhaji Maidaji, Kachalla Doso and Kachalla Kariga were killed in Shamushelle area of Birnin Magaji.

The source added that some bandits were injured while scampering for safety from the bombardments.

“Security operatives, however, intercepted about eight injured bandits at a local health facility, who had gone to seek medical treatment,” he said. (PRNigeria)
