In a series of decisive counterterrorism operations, Nigerian Army troops have neutralized multiple Boko Haram fighters and dismantled bandit strongholds across Borno, Zamfara, and Sokoto states.

In Borno, a high-impact raid on a Boko Haram enclave in Iza Forest, Bama Local Government Area, resulted in the elimination of 10 terrorists and the recovery of automatic weapons, including AK-47 rifles and loaded magazines.

The insurgents, overwhelmed by the troops’ superior firepower, fled in disarray, leaving behind a cache of arms.

Meanwhile, in Zamfara’s Shinkafi Local Government Area, troops ambushed bandits at a known crossing in Tunfa village, neutralizing one terrorist and capturing a key ransom facilitator linked to the notorious Sani Black faction.

In Sokoto, security forces, acting on credible intelligence, arrested a suspected terrorist at Illela Market in Illela Local Government Area, further tightening the military’s grip on criminal networks in the region.

Commending the troops for their operational success, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede reaffirmed the military’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and banditry.

He urged citizens to support the troops by providing credible intelligence to aid ongoing security efforts.
