The ambush was executed at Kidandan Junction in Giwa LGA, where the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight.
The terrorists, unable to withstand the assault, fled the scene, abandoning a pistol.
The troops proceeded to clear Basurfe and Yuna villages, recovering a motorbike left behind by the escaping terrorists who had crossed a nearby river valley.
Demonstrating their determination, the troops pursued the terrorists to Katoge village, a known enclave and crossing point for the terrorists.

There, they encountered a scout for the terrorists and eliminated him, recovering a semi-automatic pump-action rifle.
The operation culminated in Saulawa village in Birnin Gwari LGA, where the troops encountered several terrorists on motorbikes.
A ferocious exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the neutralization of five more terrorists.
The troops’ superior firepower led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, one G3 rifle, and nine motorbikes.
These successful operations underscore the troops’ resilience and commitment to mitigating terrorist activities in the troubled regions of Kaduna State.
