A Nigerian mother, Oluranti Akinyemi (nee Oluwalana/Ogundana), has died in the United Kingdom, just days after arriving to celebrate her son’s graduation.

The announcement was made on X by a UK-based biomedical scientist known online as SK the Plug, @Dhkrullah.

According to his post, Mrs Akinyemi travelled to the UK on February 11 to attend the graduation ceremony of her second child to be held on February 18.

Less than 20 hours after her arrival, she suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

According to the post, all four of Mrs Akinyemi’s children are in the UK, revealing that the family is urgently seeking support to repatriate her remains to Nigeria for burial, settle outstanding medical bills in the UK, and cover funeral expenses.

“No amount is too small. Your donation, prayer, and share mean everything to us, thank you for standing with our family during this painful time,” the post stated. (Peoples Gazette)
