Tragedy struck in Abuja on Wednesday when a man, his wife, and their house boy lost their lives in a fatal crash at the Mabushi Bridge.
As the calamity was happening in Abuja, another calamity had earlier that day happened in Enugu, in which a man and his wife also perished.
The painful nexus between the accidents was that both families, up until their death, lived on the same estate in Abuja- Trademore Mega Estate in Lugbe.

While the family members who died in Abuja were members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God [His Grace Assembly] Trademore Estate, the family members who died in Enugu were members of the Catholic Church on Trademore Estate.
Both churches are located on the same street, a stone’s throw from each other.
In the Abuja accident, witnesses said the family members were driving in a private car when the driver [husband] stopped at the Berger Roundabout in Wuse to pick up their houseboy.
A confrontation reportedly ensued with three individuals [FCT revenue collectors -agberos] at the location.
One of the three allegedly attempted to seize control of the steering wheel of the vehicle from the driver.
In the struggle that ensued, the driver lost control of the car, which rammed into a bridge pillar at Mabushi. The impact killed husband, wife, and houseboy on the spot.
Reports said that an angry mob attacked the three revenue collectors shortly afterwards.
Three of them were reportedly apprehended and beaten to a pulp. Two were unlucky to have been set ablaze.
One was reportedly dead before the Police arrived at the scene. The second who was rescued reportedly died at the hospital, while the third person was said to be in between life and death in the hospital as of the time of this report.
The bodies of the husband, wife, and houseboy had been deposited in the morgue.
While the Phase Two Residents Association of Trademore was mourning the victims of the Mabushi, Abuja fatal crash, reports came that the second family had been crushed by a trailer in Enugu.
The Enugu crash victims were said to be returning to Abuja after attending a burial event in their village.
Friends and neighbours have been mourning the dead since on Wednesday when the news of the tragedies broke.
