47-year-old trader, identified as Comfort Abednego, has died after collapsing at the Kwaita village market in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Witnesses disclosed that the trader slumped while attending to customers who came to buy garri (cassava flour) in the market at about 11:23 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Witnesses disclosed that Abednego had stood up to buy a polythene bag to measure the garri when she suddenly slumped.

Market vigilantes were immediately alerted and rushed her to a nearby clinic, but the mother of three was confirmed dead on arrival.
