The Chinese government said on Friday the number of U.S. exhibitors at it’s Trade Promotion Conference increased by 15 per cent over the previous session.
It also said that such continued to rank first among foreign exhibitors, as the exhibition area increased by 10 per cent.
Wang Linjie, spokeswoman for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, disclosed this during the regular virtual global news on Friday, in Beijing, China.
Wang spoke against the backdrop of the forthcoming third blockchain expo in October, 2025, saying key heads of the U. S. Fortune 500 companies are expected to attend the opening ceremony and conference activities.
According to her, the latest survey by the American Chamber of Commerce in China shows that most American companies in China will stay committed to the Chinese market.
Wang said, “Since this year, the China International Trade Promotion Association has invited and received a large number of heads of U.S. institutions and enterprises to visit China.
“These officials said they are optimistic about China’s development prospects and hope to continue to cooperate with China.
She stressed that China-U.S. relations have come through a lot of storms, but that they have always moved forward.
She described Chinese and American business community as one of shared interests, adding our exchanges and cooperation have never been interrupted, but have become closer and deeper.
“In the first half of this year, nearly 2,500 exhibitors were approved by the China Trade Promotion Association.
“A Chinese company went to the United States to participate in the Consumer Electronics Show and the Hardware Show in Las Vegas 30 times. Multiple professional exhibitions covering electronics, textiles, consumer products.
“Others include, pharmaceutical raw materials, photovoltaics, building materials, energy storage and other fields, with an actual exhibition area of 3.2. More than 10,000 square meters,” she said.
She revealed this year is the China-U.S. Business Cooperation Docking Project (CMP) led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The spokeswoman assured of the country’s plan to promote practical cooperation between China and the United States in priority economic sectors.
She mentioned the sectors to include advanced manufacturing, rail transportation, energy conservation and environmental protection, finance, automotive, fire protection and other fields
“In April this year, CMP held a China-US Environmental Technology Seminar in Beijing, from June to September.
“They will also hold themed events and business exchanges focusing on green and low-carbon, rail transportation, smart mining, automotive and other industries in Sichuan, Beijing.
“Others are Inner Mongolia, a Chinese autonomous region, Chongqing province and other places, to build a practical platform for the business community of the two countries to deepen cooperation,” Wang said.
She quoted Michael Ho, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, saying member companies have no plans to relocate and that China remains a major investment destination.
“Practical cooperation in a complex environment will continue. Zheng Yi, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, also said people-to-people exchanges constitute resilience and vitality of U.S.-China cooperation.
“Civil society and the business community will continue to be important forces driving this cooperation.
“This fully shows Chinese and American business community has broad common interests and broad space for cooperation, and the business community can play important role in development of China-U.S. relations,” Wang said.
