The World Athletics on Tuesday ratified Tobi Amusan’s new World Record in the women’s 100m hurdles, according to a report by Pnosports.com.

The record was set by Amusan at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States of America in July.

Amusan set a new World Record of 12.12 in the semi-final to erase the old mark of 12.20 set by USA’s Kendra Harrison in London in 2016.

The talented athlete followed that remarkable performance with a wind-assisted 12.06 (2.5m/s) to win the final.

Amusan also broke the African record of 12.40 in the 100m hurdles heat.
