President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the release of 24 schoolgirls abducted from a school in Maga, Kebbi State, last Monday, November 17, shortly after a military detachment left the premises.

The abduction sparked further incidents in Eruku, Kwara State, and Papiri, Niger State.

All 38 students kidnapped in Eruku were freed on Sunday, while 50 missing students from the Catholic School in Niger State have been reunited with their families.

President Tinubu praised the security agencies for their efforts in securing the freedom of the victims and urged them to intensify operations to rescue the remaining students still in captivity.
