Professor Ogunlana, a distinguished figure in the field of pharmacy, served as the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and held leadership positions in the Association of Professional Bodies in Nigeria and the West African Pharmacists Association.
His impactful contributions also extended to academia, where he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the former University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University.
Acknowledging Professor Ogunlana’s outstanding achievements, he was honored with the prestigious Andre Bedat award by the International Pharmaceutical Federation, recognizing his exemplary dedication to the field of pharmacy.
President Tinubu expressed his deepest sympathies to the Ogunlana family and the entire pharmaceutical community, highlighting the profound loss of a luminary whose influence reached beyond the borders of Nigeria.
