Tinubu makes new appointments

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Silas Agara as the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

Agara is an entrepreneur and sports administrator who previously served as the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State.

Tinubu also approved the appointment of Umar Ibrahim Mohammed as the Director-General of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA).

Mohammed is an architect, and also, a construction technology and environment professional.

President Tinubu equally approved the appointment of Baffa Dan Agundi as the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC).

Dan Agundi is a former majority leader of the Kano State House of Assembly. He was also Principal Registrar of the Kano State High Court of Justice.

Tinubu also approved the appointment of Saleh Abubakar as the Director-General of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW).

Abubakar is a public administrator with decades of experience across several sectors.

The president equally approved the appointment of Jobson Ewalefoh as the Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).

Ewalefoh is a professional with years of experience in government and development organisations, in addition to expertise in public-private partnerships, public policy reform and development.

His appointment is subject to the confirmation of the Senate.

The appointments were contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
