Tinubu congratulates Oyebanji on Ekiti re-election, urges “inclusive governance”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election, calling it a “vote of confidence in continuity and people-centred governance”.

In a statement Sunday, Tinubu was quoted to have commended in a statement by his Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga, Ekiti voters for a peaceful, orderly election and praised security agencies for maintaining law and order.

—“BAO Agenda Delivered Results”—

The President said Oyebanji’s first term recorded “significant progress” in infrastructure, agriculture, youth employment, education, healthcare and rural development under the BAO agenda.

“His overwhelming victory reflects the confidence of Ekiti people in his administration’s policies and programmes,” Tinubu said.

–The charge to Oyebanji–

Tinubu urged the governor to be “magnanimous in victory” and carry all residents along as he consolidates achievements over the next four years.

He also commended other candidates for exercising their democratic rights and asked them to support Oyebanji in advancing the state.

–Eyes on Osun and 2027—

The President charged INEC to keep delivering “peaceful, free, fair and credible elections” ahead of Osun’s August governorship poll and the 2027 general elections.

Tinubu reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to partner with Ekiti to deliver more dividends of democracy and push the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He prayed for “wisdom, strength and good health” for Oyebanji as he serves Ekiti people.
