Tinubu begs for forgiveness over alleged sins at Ramadan Tafsir
President Bola Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and moral renewal as Muslims commenced the Ramadan fast, emphasising forgiveness and compassion as core teachings of the holy month.

Speaking at a Ramadan Tafsir held at the State House Mosque in Abuja, the President said Ramadan offered an opportunity for spiritual reflection and a return to values that strengthened society.

“We start this Ramadan knowing the teachings it brings to all of us. This is to get closer to God, to do good to people, to share love and faith, and to forgive sins,” Tinubu said.

He urged Nigerians to forgive one another and work collectively towards national harmony.

“If I have sinned against you, forgive me. As Nigerians, we must learn to forgive and live in peace with one another,” the President stated.

Tinubu added that the observance of Ramadan should inspire citizens to promote unity and encourage acts of kindness that contributed to national development.
