Chief Bisi Akande, who served as the governor of Osun State from 1999 to 2003, and held the esteemed position of the first interim National Chairman of the All-Progressives’ Congress (APC), is being lauded by President Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to principles of integrity, loyalty, truth, and justice.
The President fondly recalls Chief Akande’s exemplary leadership journey and his selfless contributions to the development of Nigeria.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu, reflecting on Chief Akande’s pivotal role in the formation of the All-Progressives’ Congress, describes him as a true progressive, characterized by nobility and discipline in thoughts and actions, consistently guided by rational and enlightened ideals.
The President expresses his deep appreciation for the cherished friendship and profound counsel he has received from Chief Akande over the years.
“Baba was a principal actor in the founding of our great party, the All-Progressives’ Congress. He has always been a progressive; always noble and disciplined in thoughts and actions, as well as given to rational and enlightened ideals.
He is a cherished friend and confidant, ever so generous with his wise counsel. I celebrate him,” states President Tinubu.
