Controversial disc jockey and TikTok personality, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has been arrested for a viral video in which he made threatening remarks about Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The arrest was disclosed Thursday by his lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, in a video shared online.
According to Stephen, DJ Chicken was picked up in Ikeja and is being held at the Ikeja Police Headquarters. The lawyer, however, alleged that operatives of the Department of State Services [DSS] may be handling the case.
“DJ Chicken is now with the authorities. He was arrested at Ikeja and he is now at Ikeja Police Headquarters, but I am very sure it is the DSS. He was arrested in connection with the statement he made some days ago about the son of the president, Seyi Tinubu,” Stephen said.

DJ Chicken sparked widespread outrage after a clip surfaced online where he said: “Tinubu, you can’t win the election. If you win, I will kill Seyi Tinubu. I won’t say more than that.”_
The comment drew condemnation across social media, with many calling for law enforcement action.

In his appeal, Stephen begged the government, the Presidency, and DJ Chicken’s supporters to forgive him.
“Please, fans and well-wishers, people that like Chicken and people that are close with the Presidency, please forgive Chicken. He is not that okay. We are just managing him. Chicken is my own personal project. It is my own part of giving back to society.
“We are begging, please. Government should please forgive him. We will do everything. I don’t know what to do again. They should please,” he pleaded.

The lawyer described DJ Chicken as someone who is “being managed” and insisted he remains “part of society.”
