Heb 12:2-4
How much are you willing to pay to achieve your purpose? If your purpose is not clearly defined in life, you cannot move too fast. It’s your purpose that keeps you running in life, it gives you speed.
Purpose is your life assignment per time. What you’re doing to become what you wants to become. For instance as a Christian, your major vision should be to become like Christ and get to heaven. To achieve this, you must study the life of Christ, apply what you have studied to your life and be prayerful. These are the basic prices you must pay in order to live a triumphant Christian life,
You have all it takes to pay the price if only you are willing
Matthew 16:13-24, Hebrew 12:2.
Furthermore, you must note that while the road to your purpose may be indefinite or unspecified your destination is guaranteed if you can pay the price. The price of your purpose is in the process that leads to the fulfilment of your purpose.
If you value where you are going, you will not mind the price and the process.
ELISHA AS CASE STUDY 1Kings 19:16-21
Don’t be carried away by the prize or the blessings Elisha received through His spiritual father Elijah, He followed the process, bore and endured the pain. Let’s dive into the prices Elisha paid to fulfil His Purpose;
🔸He sacrificed his time
🔸He sacrificed his resources
🔸He sacrificed Himself and his ego by becoming a servant of Elijah
🔸He accepted the yoke of mentoring/discipleship
🔸He waited patiently until God sent him
🔸He also persisted and identified himself with his master regardless the circumstances 2Kings 2:1-4
Do not just focus on the prize without the willingness and the commitment to pay the price. Just like Abraham, Elisha, Noah and other Bible Characters of faith who honoured PROCESS, you also must choose to honour and value the process God is taking you through.
