A crowd of political supporters and sympathizers on Sunday thronged the country home of Senator Buruji Kashamu, the strong man of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ijebu – Igbo, Ogun State to pay their last respects.

The mourners, cutting across religious, political and ethnic divides, including Ogun Governor, Dapo Abiodun, wailed as the body of Kashamu arrived home for burial according to Islamic rites.

Overwhelmed by a sense of loss of the philantropist and dogged political fighter, many of his supporters paid scanty attention to safe physical distance or wearing of face masks as they bathed with sorrow over his passing.

Abiodun arrived at exactly 10:39am with his entourage.

Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun was part of the crowd that bidded the politician a tearful farewell.
