The Comptroller General of Customs Col. Hameed Ali (retd) and his management team, in a historic move, met with Ambassadors of USA, Germany and High Commissioner to United Kingdom at Customs Headquarters, Abuja, to collaborate and seek best ways to deal with the challenges of illicit wildlife trade and facilitation of Import/Export by the three embassies.
The meeting resolved on the need to meet quarterly at the Headquarters of Nigeria Customs Service to forge a stronger working relationship with a view of improving trade facilitation, e-commerce and revenue generation.
The Comptroller General of Customs, while stating the partnership was most certainly welcome, said he looked forward to the synergy, highlighting the need to tackle issues such as illegal wildlife trade within the country.
