Supreme Court announces full list of justices to hear appeal challenging Tinubu’s victory

The Supreme Court has constituted a seven-member panel of justices to hear the appeals filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against the election of Bola Tinubu.

Reports said that the Supreme Court justices that would determine the final outcome of the 2023 presidential election were Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad, Justice Uwani Musa Abba Aji and Justice Lawal Garba.

Others are Justice Helen M. Ogunwumiju, Justice I. N. Saulawa, Justice Tijjani Abubakar, and Justice Emmanuel Agim.

The Presidential Election Petition Court had affirmed the election of Bola Tinubu after dismissing the petitions filed by Obi and Abubakar.

Obi and Atiku, however, rejected the judgment and filed an appeal at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court on Thursday announced Monday, October 23rd to begin hearing of the case filed against the Independent National Electoral Commission, Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
