The Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifying match was played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Friday evening.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 87th minute by second half substitute, Dele Basiru.
With the win, Nigeria remain top of Group D with 7 points from three games and they are closely followed by Benin Republic who are on 6 points from the same number of games.
Rwanda occupy the third spot with 2 points, while Libya are bottom with a single point.
