Amas Obasogie has been cleared of match-fixing allegations following an international investigation by Tanzanian club, Singida Black Stars SC.
A report by Prompt News said that Singida Black Stars, in a statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jonathan Kassano disclosed that concerns had earlier been raised by fans, stakeholders, and club officials over a series of mistakes in recent matches involving the goalkeeper.

The matches in question included Singida’s clash against Flambeau du Centre in the CAF Confederation Cup as well as league fixtures against Pamba Jiji FC and Namungo FC in the NBC Premier League.
The club’s disciplinary committee has now ruled that there is no evidence linking the goal tender to match-fixing.
“The incidents that raised concerns have been determined to be technical errors within the game,” the club stated.
Obasogie has now been reinstated and is free to continue his duties with the team.
