The field commander of Osun Western Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, has warned the residents of Osun state to stop harbouring criminals in their vicinity.
Amitolu disclosed this while featuring on OSBC Radio 104.5 FM programme tagged: “Ela Loro.” He said the security outfit is ever battle ready to rid the state of criminals.
He warned terrorists against any form of attack because it would be resisted.
He urged residents to cease harbouring criminal elements in the state and advised that they should raise the alarm when unknown faces appear in their communities.
Amitolu, who described the Yorubas as peace-loving people who despise the blood shedding.
He, however, maintained that it has not made the tribe to be cowards. “We are not for cowardice. We are not cowards and we can not live in cowardice.
“We are valiant warriors in the land, in the sea, in the air and we are warlords of warlords who are great in battle; we are unrepentant warriors on any battlefield.
“We do not take anything that has to do with securing the lives of people and property lightly. We rapidly work on any piece of information that concerns security to ascertain whether it is genuine or not.”
Amitolu commended governor Gboyega Oyetola of the state for his contributions to the security architecture of the state, which has helped it to be secure since his assumption into office.
He similarly enumerated the gains of the outfit since its inception, adding it has apprehended a lot of criminals, ranging from armed robbery, rapists, cultists, marauders, and hooligans.
He informed the residents to report criminals in their neighborhoods to the Amotekun corps for action, saying the job of effective crime prevention and control is for all and sundry.
