he Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun has declared commitment to inclusive development of states in the Southwest region, saying he is ready to partner colleagues in bringing the progress to the region.
The Speaker disclosed this at a meeting of Speakers of the Houses of Assembly from Southwest Nigeria on Monday, noting the region holds enormous potential that can be unlocked through impactful partnerships.
The meeting, which began on Sunday evening, was hosted by the Lagos House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Obasa.
The meeting focused primarily on fostering unity and peace within the South West region, especially in the realm of legislative affairs.
Rt. Hon. Egbedun, who welcomed the meeting as the needed catalyst to drive inclusive growth in the region, assured the people of the six states that they stand to gain so much from the collaboration of the six state assemblies.
The meeting was later adjourned until today Monday, and crucial matters that recognize the significance of our collaborative efforts in huh shaping the future of our geopolitical zones were thoroughly discussed.
