Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Monday, July 14, 2025, arrived in London on the directive of President Bola Tinubu, following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Shettima was accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
On arrival, the vice president was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar and Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum.
Shettima will accompany the remains of Buhari to Nigeria for burial in Daura, Katsina State.
The former president died in London on Sunday in a prolonged illness.
