Senator Shehu Sani has reportedly visited Ex-AAC presidential candidate and Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore in a medical facility in Abuja.
The leader of the Revolution Now Movement is said to be recuperating from the injury he sustained when the protest he led to the Unity Fountain was disrupted by the Police.
The Police claimed they professionally dispersed the protesters.
Sowore and his colleagues had claimed that a Police woman, Altine Daniel, shot at him and had lifted his shirt to revel a cut on his stomach, purportedly caused more likely by a tear gas canister but a colleague of his, Deji Adeyanju, in a video footage, said a bullet lodged in there.
But the Police had issued a statement emphatically maintaining that none of their officers fired a shot at the Unity Fountain.
After visiting Sowore, Senator Shehu Sani disclosed that the fiery journalist was in high spirits, adding that he advised him (Sowore) “to come along with his ‘juju’ priest anytime he holds another protest.”
Read him: “I just visited Comrade @YeleSowore at the Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. He is stable and in high spirit. On the lighter side, I advised him to bring that Juju man to the venue of the next protest.”
Recall that Sowore made headlines a few months ago when he arrived on the premises of the Abuja Magistrate court with a Voodoo priest for a session.
