A one-time Senator, who represented Bayelsa East from 2003 to 2007 in the National Assembly, Rufus Inatimi-Spiff is dead.
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and standard bearer for the party for the Nembe-Brass Federal House of Representative in the 2023 general election, Hon Mrs Marie Enenimiete Ebikake, who described Inatimi-Spiff as her mentor, has mourned him.
According to Mrs Ebikake, Senator Rufus Inatimi-Spiff’s demise had created a vacuum in Bayelsa State.
According to Elechi Amadi, “death is a bad reaper, always plucking the unripe fruits. And the shocking passing away of Senator Inatimi-Spiff, is untimely.”
He said: “In life, he was a brother and friend; a confidant and a loyal and irreproachable political ally whose painful demise, on the cold morning of December 24, 2022 will, irreversibly, leave a vacuum hard to fill in the political landscape of Bayelsa state, Brass local government and Twon-Brass in particular.
“The distinguished Senator was an icon that would be sorely missed not only by his family but also by all whose lives he touched during his illustrious and brief political life”.
