Senator Abdullahi Adamu awaits APC’s crowning as consensus candidate for national chair as Akume, others withdraw from race

A former governor of Nasarawa State and current Senator representing Nasarawa West senatorial zone, Abdullahi Adamu, is waiting to be formally crowned as the national chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, today.

He will be ratified by no fewer than 4000 delegates of the party who have converged on Eagle Square, Abuja, for the ratification convention.

The CONCLAVE reports that the ratification will be done through a voting process- either actually casting if ballot or voice vote to consummate the ratification of the National chairman.

The decision by other aspirants to withdraw from the race after their meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari who settled fir Adamu and pleaded with the others to step down fir him, was conveyed via a letter by one of the leading contenders, Senator Griefe Akume, who is Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs.
