The Ward 2 executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oredo Local Government Area have firmly denied the purported suspension of Rt. Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama.

In a statement issued by party officials, including Prince Kingsley Elempe, Chairman, Chadrige Jesuorobo, Secretary, Sarah Egeavon, Assistant Secretary, Steba Aigbe, Woman Leader, Kingsley Adeh, Youth Leader, A’won Austin, Organizing Secretary, Mrs. Ogbebor Pat, Legal Adviser, Betty Ogidigan, Financial Secretary, Betty Gboigre, Treasurer, Edith Queensley Uwadiae, Member, Mrs. Loveth Agbonlahor, Member and Emmanuel Edokplor, Member, they clarified that the rumored suspension of the respected leader and former House of Representatives member was unfounded and was not sanctioned by legitimate party authorities.

“We, the duly elected executives of Ward 2, PDP Oredo LGA, elected in the 2020 congress and validated by the Federal High Court in 2023, assert that no such action was discussed or taken against Rt. Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama,” the statement read.

The executives emphasized that the purported suspension was orchestrated by unauthorized individuals without any legitimate power to act on behalf of the party.

“Hon. Ogbeide-Ihama remains a prominent and influential member of the PDP, enjoying the full support of Ward 2 members.

The party executives urged all members and supporters to focus on uniting the party ahead of the upcoming September governorship elections, warning against divisive actions that could harm the party’s prospects.
