Senate President Godswill Akpabio has praised Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno as a man who “embodies the grace of God and the quiet strength of purposeful leadership” as the governor turned 62.

In a birthday message issued Saturday, Akpabio said Eno’s ARISE Agenda has “moved from vision to visible impact” across agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, security, and social empowerment.

“At 62, you embody the grace of God and the quiet strength of purposeful leadership,” Akpabio wrote in the statement signed on behalf of his family, Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, the 10th Senate, and the National Assembly.

The Senate President singled out Eno’s “politics of inclusivity,” saying the governor runs an “open, broad-based administration that embraces all Akwa Ibomites regardless of party or creed.”

“You have lowered the political temperature in our state and fostered unity. That is statesmanship, and it is yielding peace as a foundation for progress, growth and opportunities,” Akpabio said.

He listed roads, healthcare upgrades, SME support, and human capital growth as areas where “Akwa Ibom continues on the path of steady development” under Eno.

“You are building on our shared heritage while charting a compassionate, people-first course for the future,” Akpabio added.

He prayed for “greater wisdom, sound health, and enduring strength” for the governor, adding: “May your years be long, and may Akwa Ibom continue to ARISE under your leadership.”

The message was signed by Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Special Adviser on Media/Publicity to the President of the Senate.
