The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, said there was no plan to enter into alliance with the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Adebayo described the report that the SDP had collapsed its structure in aid of an alliance with the APC as outright falsehood and of no consequence.

He described the news of alliance talks with the APC as “fake news”, and urged Nigerians, party members and supporters to disregard it in its entirety.

Adebayo insisted that “the SDP won’t step down for any political party” stressing that “both the APC and PDP are progressive”.

“It is fake news. This is not from the SDP. We will never be part of such an anti-people, unprogressive alliance.

“APC is definitely ruled out. We will never step down or be in alliance with APC or PDP. SDP will contest the election till the end. We are working for victory. We are reaching out to the grassroots.

“Nigeria and Nigerians need help which the APC and PDP cannot provide. Both parties have raped and feasted on the nation’s wealth, dehumanized our people to a pitiable state.

“We will provide the desired leadership while Nigeria’s electorate and people should invest their votes in the SDP and see the Nation turned around as help has finally come through the SDP.”
