The Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, on Wednesday, played host to the Presidential visitation Panel to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, in his office at the State Headquarters, Osogbo.
The panel, led by Chief Mrs Benedicta Nwachuckwu, said it considered it necessary to pay such a visit to the Commissioner of Police, as part of its statutory assignments on the general assessment and safety of the University and the students.
The leader of the delegate commended the Commissioner of Police and his management team for their efforts towards having effective policing of the State.
She however urged the CP to continually deploy the Command’s resources, both human and material, in providing adequate security for the entire OAU community and the state as a whole.
In the same vein, the Vice-Chancellor, OAU, Ile-Ife, Prof. Eyitope Ogungbenro Ogunbodede, appreciated the CP for the unalloyed support and cooperation exhibited whenever he is called upon, while promising to continue partnering the Police for effective policing.
The CP appreciated the team for finding time out of their tight schedule to visit the Command and reassured them of adequate protection of life and property within the OAU community and the state generally.
