Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed VAT bill into law.
This was consequent upon its passage by the State House of Assembly on Thursday.
Commisioner for information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed this in a statement on Friday.
Omotoso said the governor signed the bill after returning from an official trip.
“The Governor signed the bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services about 11. 45 am today [Friday], after returning from an official trip to Abuja. By this act, the Bill has now become a Law,” the statement read in part.
