The FCT Command, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed about 3000 regular and special Marshals for effective traffic management during Sallah festivities in the territory.
The Acting Sector commander, Mr Adewale Ameen said this at the commencement of Sallah Special Operation on Thursday in Abuja.
Ameen said that adequate logistics have also been deployed to the four entrance and exit points in the FCT.
He said unit commanders have been directed to ensure free flow of traffic in all routes leading to Eid praying grounds and recreation centers.
“Personnel will also be at the City Center to check the excesses of motorists and ensure free flow of traffic, ” Ameen added.
The FRSC boss appealed to motorists to abide by traffic rules and regulations for a hitch free Sallah celebration in the six area councils of the FCT.
He urged residents to call FRSC Toll free number 122, assuring that the personnel would respond to emergencies at any time of the day.
Ameen said that the corps was working with the Police, NEMA, Civil Defence, and military, among others, to ensure strict enforcement of traffic rules and general security. (NAN)
