Oyo-based entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chief Salako Amekunlooye, has congratulated a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Akinola Alabi representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal constituency in the 10th National Assembly on completing the process of inauguration at the Green Chamber.
This was contained in a goodwill message he communicated to the parliamentarian on Tuesday night (June 13, 2023).
Hon. Alabi and other members were officially sworn in on Tuesday to run the affairs of the lower Legislative House for a term of four years.
Amekunlooye stated that the electoral fortunes of Hon. Alabi didn’t come as a surprise to him and many others in Oyo State as it was obvious the love the people of his constituency have for him, “Honorable Alabi is a hardworking professional, who has exercised quality representation over the years at the hallowed chamber and putting the interest of the people of Oyo State at heart.
Amekunlooye added, “Hon. Alabi represented Egbeda/Ona Ara very well in his first term with high moral rectitude, discipline, love and deep affection. He also has indelible records of impacting life of his constituents through socio-economic empowerment initiatives to foster human capital development and capacity building; he never discriminate against any region.
“It was obvious he would win in the last election. His performance has been a cutting edge for him. His vision for Egbeda/Ona Ara is clear and members of his constituency should relax and cooperate more with him to deliver his fresh manifesto, consolidate his past achievements and even do better.”
Amekunlooye also assured that Alabi has penchant for excellence, adding his show of competence at the floor of the House in terms of contributions to debates, presentation of Bills, Motions, Petitions and compliance with House Rules have been phenomenal, “the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara made the right choice with their votes, Alabi will perform exceptionally well and shock fifth columnists.
“I will be happy to felicitate with him and other compatriots to merry over his electoral victory and for being part of the progressive family on Sunday, June 18, 2023. We waited for this moment of his swearing-in it has come to fruition. We thank God, the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara and Oyo State. Congratulations to this great and visionary leader with the people at heart.” Amekunlooye stated.
