SAHCO water truck crashes into Max Air plane at Abuja airport

A water bowser truck collided with a Max Air jet on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, according to a report by Persecondnews.com (PSN).

The truck, during approach, hit the aircraft, causing visible damages to the vehicle and aircraft.

The truck owned by the Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc (SAHCO) was on its way to provide lavatory services.

The aircraft with registration number 5N-DAB is a Boeing 737-36Q(WL), 22-year-old aircraft, delivered to Max Air in February 2021.

The truck, owned by Sifax Group, destroyed the under belly of the aircraft in footages obtained PSN.

The belly of the aircraft penetrated the top of the truck, causing severe damages to the truck.

It’s uncertain if anyone was inside the Max Air plane during the collision. (PSN)
