A member of the House of Representatives, representing Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa and Yankwashi Federal constituency, Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure, has been suspended for six months by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kazaure local Government in Jigawa State.
His etter of suspension was signed by the party Chairman, Kazaure local Government, Hassan Lawan.
The Federal lawmaker was reported to have been so sanctioned for his alleged critical and injurious posts on his Facebook and tweeter handle against the state Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
The letter said the action of the lawmaker was contrary to article 21(ii) and (v) of the APC constitution.
The chairman, in.the letter, explained that the suspension followed an earlier one by party executives of his ward in Yamma.
Read the letter containing the resolution: “Based on the complaints received from the lawmaker’s ward the local Government executives of the party held an emergency meeting and came up with two resolutions, including setting up of seven-man Disciplinary Committee to investigate the allegations and report back within ten days while the lawmaker is suspended for six months pending the investigation.”
Gudaji had, in his tweet, accused Governor Badaru of single-handed nominating chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the forthcoming local government elections without primaries or any consensus as provided for by the party’s constitution.
