Prophet Oloruntoba Ajose of Zion Ministry of C&S Mission, in Ori-Okuta, Ikorodu, Lagos State during a mid-week vigil service, sent a message to the incoming governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, warning him to beware of the errors of his predecessor, outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Speaking in Yoruba language, the prophet said the incoming governor “should make sure he honours any covenant made with political forces in his quest for victory. He must realise that the Almighty promoted covenants with the children of Israel all through their sojourn and walk in the wilderness. God frowns at ingratitude of any sort. ”

The man of God further predicted that if he, Okpebholo disregarded agreements earlier reached, “he will be shown out of office in less than a year”.

This warning is coming days to the inauguration of the Governor-elect, who is also expected in the ancient capital city of Benin any moment from now.

Okpebholo defeated Asue Ighodalo in the recently concluded Edo governorship election.

Ighodalo has gone to the Election Tribunal to challenge the outcome of the poll.
