Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has filed a contempt of court charge at the Federal High Court, Abuja Division against the Inspector General of Police, Marvelous Omobayo, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Blessing Aigbebaku, the Chief Judge of the State, Attorney General of the State, and the state House of Assembly.
The Form 48 was dated 15th of August, 2024, and filed on the 16th of August, 2024.
The suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/478/2024 is between Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu [plaintiff] vs Inspector General of Police [2st defendant], Deputy Governor of Edo State [ 3nd defendant], Attorney General of Edo State [3rd defendant] Chief Judge of Edo State [4th defendant], the Hon Speaker if the Edo State House of Assembly [5th defendant] and the Ero State House of Assembly [6th Defendant]
The FORM 48 reads: “NOTICE OF CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEDIENCE OF ORDER OF COURT” and addressed to
Engr. Marvellous Omobayo Godwins of Deputy Governor’s Office, Benin City, Edo State.
“TAKE NOTICE that unless you obey the directions contained in the endorsed Order of the Honourable Court of 17th day of July, 2024 you will be guilty of contempt of Court and will be liable to be committed to prison.”
