Redeemer’s University holds 12th convocation, graduates 448, deploys hi-tech in media broadcast

In what promises to be one of its kind in the education sector, Redeemer’s University holds its maiden virtual convocation on 10 November 2020.

The 12th convocation starts from Sunday 8th with a special impartation service for the graduands by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and visitor to the university, Pastor E.A. Adeboye through Tuesday 10th November, 2020, day of the main convocation ceremony.

The three-day programme will be broadcast through the state-of-the-art media technology backed and powered by the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 192 countries where its parishes are situated.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Anthony Akinlo in a statement made available to newsmen, 448 students comprising both undergraduate and postgraduate categories would be awarded degrees.

The set is christened: Daniel Generation.

He said that the set had been raised as global leaders and change agents imbued with God-fearing attributes, ladding that they were specially commissioned to set standards through a continuous commitment to excellence geared towards a transformative impact on society.

The theme of this year’s convocation lecture is: “Entrepreneurship, Agriculture; and Youth Empowerment” while the Convocation Lecture would be delivered by the Chairman, First Bank Plc, Mrs Ibukun Awosika, a renowned motivational speaker and management thought leader.
