An Abuja-based public interest lawyer, Vincent Adodo, has tasked Federal Road Maintenance Agency [FERMA] to fix the dilapidated Abuja-Keffi Road.

Adodo said that if the agency failed to act in accordance, he would file action against it in court to compel compliance.
In a statement he sent to THE CONCLAVE, dated October 7, 2024, Adodo said, “I have just served the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) with a Demand Letter requesting it to fix the failed portions of the Abuja – Keffi Expressway particularly along the Nyanya – Checkpoint/ Abacha Road axis along FRSC Office which has for several years inflicted untold suffering on road users and commuters (most of whom are citizens commuting to/fro the Abuja City Centre to eke their daily living) who are forced to spend several hours in long traffic as a result of the dilapidated situation of the road.
“Included in the letter is a pre-action notice per chance the demand is not heeded. Included are pictures of the current state of the road.”
