The Commission assured applicants that it will officially announce the examination date in due course and notify successful candidates from the screening exercise conducted across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Furthermore, the PSC has directed the Police Cyber-crime Unit to investigate the source of the misinformation and apprehend those responsible for prosecution.

Prospective applicants were advised to rely solely on official communications issued by the Commission through recognized media platforms.

The Commission emphasized that any information not officially disseminated by them should be disregarded.

The Commission highlighted a fictitious publication on social media purporting to announce February 14, 2024, as the examination date and providing false directives regarding the recruitment process.

It stressed that such directives were not issued by the Commission and should be ignored.

Applicants were urged to exercise patience and await the official announcement of the examination date.

The Commission said that successful candidates from the screening exercise would be duly notified.

Commission Chairman, Dr. Solomon Arase, a retired Inspector General of Police, cautioned applicants against desperation and falling prey to criminal elements attempting to exploit the recruitment exercise.

He assured fhsm that every candidate would receive equal opportunities and emphasized the importance of successful candidates contributing positively to the nation, particularly in the ongoing fight against insurgency and banditry.

Dr. Arase reiterated the Commission’s commitment to conducting a transparent and successful recruitment exercise.

He called for public support and patience while warning criminals to steer clear of the process.
