Dr. Solomon Arase, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission and co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Police Academy in Wudil, Kano, visited the Academy on November 14th, 2023 amid screrning of candidates for admission.
The Academy is screening candidates for the 2023 admission.
According to Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, Dr. Arase emphasized the need for a level play field for all candidates and directed the prompt resolution of any concerns raised, emphasizing fairness and justice.
He stressed the importance of a collaborative admission process involving all agencies within the Police Recruitment Board, led by the Police Service Commission and including members from the Nigeria Police Force, the Ministry of Police Affairs, Federal Character Commission, and Police Colleges.
Dr. Arase highlighted the significance of aligning assessment scores with best practices and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board requirements.
He urged the resolution of any glitches in computer-based tests to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates.
The PSC Chairman insisted that every candidate should undergo all selection processes, and the Recruitment Board should decide on admission numbers based on state equality.
Additionally, he advocated for gender sensitivity and commended the Academy’s management for their commendable efforts.
