The stage appears set for concerned prominent Nigerian leaders to converge on Abuja on Tuesday to meet minds on how to rescue the nation from looming disintegration.
The meeting is part of deliberate efforts to rally together behind the Federal Government patriotic leaders and men of conscience to proffer solutions and make recommendations to the Federal Government on how to navigate the raging storm.
A vast majority of those billed to attend the emergency meeting are reportedly senior citizens and leaders of conscience.
According to a report by News Express, the list of attendees comprised 17 senior citizens and 81 leaders of conscience.
The main agenda of the meeting slated to hold on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, according to the report was to brainstorm on ways of rescuing the country and preventing it from total collapse.
Top on the list of senior citizens expected to attend the meeting are former Commonwealth Secretary General Emeka Anyaoku; former Chief of Army Staff Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (retd); Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo; Elderstatesman Edwin Clark; Nobel laureate Prof Wole Soyinka and former Nigerian Ambassador to United Kingdom, Dr Christopher Kolade, among others.
The news medium published the full list, as compiled by the National Consultative Front, a pan-Nigeria body organising the national intervention meeting, which according to it, had yet to be made public.
