Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have announced an indefinite adjournment of the Assembly’s sittings.

A report by The Nation said the decision was reached during a plenary session presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.

Recall that this development comes just hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara proposed Wednesday for the representation of the 2025 budget.

The governor’s move was in compliance with the recent Supreme Court judgement mandating him to recognise the pro-Wike lawmakers.
