Chairman and leader of Tinubu Mandate Group (TMG) in Ondo/Ekiti States, Pastor Olufemi Bakare, and members of the group have paid a condolence visit to Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu on the death of his mother, Evangelist Abosede Grace Akeredolu.
Pastor Bakare, speaking with Governor Akeredolu, extolled the sterling qualities of his late mother, Evangelist Abosede Akeredolu and her contributions to the growth of the Christian faith in her life and times.
Pastor Bakare described Mrs Akeredolu as a good mother, stressing that “the children she left behind should take solace in the fact that the late Evangelist, their mother, lived a good life and was loved by many.”
He said that it was good thing and prayer answered that all her children iutlived her.
According to Pastor Bakare, “mama gave birth to a courageous son in Governor Akeredolu who will, at all times, speak the truth and stand by his people at all times.”
“The reason for the visit of TMG is to commiserate with you, Mr Governor and your siblings on the loss of your mother. Though mama died at a ripe age of 90, still no one wants to lose their loved ones, especially, a caring mother like Evangelist Grace Akeredolu. May her soul rest in perfect peace” Pastor Bakare said.
Pastor Bakare stated that “Akeredolu’s impact and achievements as a two-term governor of Ondo State, the Chairman of APC, Southwest Governors’ Forum and Chairman of Southern Nigeria Governors forum are no mere feats. All these came into fruition and were witnessed by the mother during her life and times. These are concrete achievements any proud mother will be joyous over.”
The leader and members of TMG also commended their principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing Governor Akeredolu as the Southwest Coordinator of his presidential campaign.
He said: “Akeredolu’s nomination is the best that can lead the region into an overwhelming victory in 2023.”
Apparently referencing what Governor said recently, Pastor Bakare agreed that “it is unfair and unjust in a federation to grant one state the right to put to use sophisticated weapons in their community security endeavour but denied the same right to another state in its effort at combating same problem confronting them.”
According to him: “All these inequalities and lopsided policies will be corrected if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu becomes the president in 2023.”
Governor Akeredolu thanked the delegation for the visit and particularly thanked Pastor Bakare for the efforts being made by his group in the state to project the image of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the presidential election in 2023.
Governor Akeredolu said: “it is God that appoints leaders and if it is the will of God, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the coming presidential election.”
