President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated winner of the Osun governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Adeleke had defeated the candidate of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress, APC and incumbent governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, who is a cousin of the party’s presidential standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Buhari took to his verified Facebook wall to congratulate the winner and commend the successful conduct of the guber poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Buhari said that was what democracy was all about and assured Nigerians that he would leave behind a legacy of credible elections.
