The management of The Guardian Newspapers in Lagos is hosting a special send-off party to honour Mr. Martins Oloja, who retired as Managing Director/Editor-In-Chief in March 2024 after over 24 years of meritorious service.
Mr. Oloja’s visionary leadership and dedication to journalistic excellence have significantly influenced The Guardian and the broader Nigerian media landscape, a press statement signed by management of The Guardian said.
His initiatives, such as the adoption of data journalism, have elevated the publication’s stature, the press statement added.
It also disclosed that the celebration would take place, on November 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Editorial Newsroom, inviting all associates to bid farewell to this industry icon.
